Mine is the ancient treat
Borne of the aniseed

They only turn away
They won’t even try it, they flee

Something bittersweet, something more complete

I know that I’m no mint
No simple chocolate
I love the flavorful
The unforgettable

We fear what we don’t understand
But I will never sway
And close up my open hand

I welcome everyone into my home
The castle feels so empty and alone
I’m not malicious when I plant my vines
I want to help them climb
